About AMOZA Empowering Iraq’s Future

Welcome to AMOZA, a registered NGO devoted to fostering youth development and empowerment across Iraq. Our mission is to create meaningful opportunities for young people, especially those impacted by displacement and conflict, by revitalizing traditional industries and promoting sustainable practices.

At AMOZA, we believe in the power of community and the potential of every individual. Our programs are designed to provide education, vocational training, entrepreneurial support, and agribusiness development. We aim to enable youth to build sustainable livelihoods and contribute to the economic and social fabric of their communities. Additionally, we empower women-led businesses, particularly in agribusiness, by enhancing their skills in food safety, hygiene, and improved business management. We are dedicated to nurturing a generation of leaders equipped with the skills and knowledge to drive positive change and innovation.

Join us in our journey to empower Iraq’s youth and build a brighter, more sustainable future for all.

At AMOZA, we are dedicated to:

Empowering Youth: We support young people in Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, Duhok, and Mosul, helping them to build brighter futures through access to decent work, skill development, and business growth opportunities.

Revitalizing Traditional Industries: We enhance traditional handicrafts and cottage industries—both in food and non-food sectors—preserving cultural heritage while stimulating local economies.

Promoting Sustainability: We advocate for sustainable industrial growth, ensuring food safety and fostering equitable supply chains that benefit communities.

Supporting Small Projects: We provide business consulting tailored to small projects, offering the guidance and resources needed for success.

Enhancing Rural Livelihoods: We are committed to improving livelihoods in rural areas through targeted projects that empower communities and drive sustainable development.

What We Do:

Youth Empowerment: We collaborate with youth—including internally displaced persons (IDPs), refugees, and local residents—providing training and creating meaningful job opportunities.

Cultural and Economic Development: By enhancing traditional crafts and cottage industries in food and non-food sectors, we aim to strengthen local economies and preserve our cultural heritage.

Sustainable Practices: Our initiatives are aligned with Iraqi regulations and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), ensuring that our efforts promote environmental sustainability, social equity, and peace.
